Resources and Tools
This page contains a number of useful worklife balance tools and resources
that you can download - most are free tools but you can purchase others. Most have been developed by The Worklife Company, some by others
(we have made
sure to provide the source name when we know it). We
endeavour to keep the tools as up to date as possible and our research team in
collaboration with our consultants and news team will keep you up to date with
any new resources.
If there are any specific tools or requests that you have, please note them
on the form below and we will do our best to provide them.
I'm Glad I spent More Time at Work!

On the 7th of May, the Worklife Company launched a new book entitled "I'm
Glad I Spent More Time at Work! - An A to Z of Worklife Balance for
Organisations. It is the first in a series of 3; the second is for individuals
and the third for women (all proceeds to charities of our choice).
I'm Glad I
Spent More Time at Work! Is a new business
approach for a new era.. The world of work
is changing and unless leaders embrace the
new and emerging trends, their businesses
may not survive the war for talent.
This A to Z of provides practical
tips, techniques and ideas for making your
organisation a great place to work. Old
style leadership methods are no longer
appropriate and organisations need to change
(and change fast) if they want to attract
and retain the best. This book provides
pragmatic ideas for doing just that!
It is written by Lynne Copp, Managing
Director of The Worklife Company. Lynne is a
leader with extensive experience in people
development and diversity (inclusion) across
a wide range of organisations and
industries. She is passionate about
releasing potential of people and businesses
through effective leadership, communication,
culture and inclusion. She has an amazing
track record of leading culture change that
drives business improvement, talent
attraction and retention. She is a pragmatic
and motivational leader who not only creates
inspiration for change, but delivers
solutions relevant to the business and
people environment. She fully embraces a
strengths based approach to people
development and employment; she says "people
come to work to do a good job and if they
are given the right environment, trust and
choice, they will achieve great things".
If you want to make your company into one
that is worth working for and staying with,
then buy this little gem!

A simple maternity timeline that may help to summarise the current UK
law - it will be updated to reflect current legislation and of course it
does not reflect some of the generous policies that some employers
provide. |

Red Flag
 |
Manage your interruptions with this red flag. Just print it off and
when you have an important deadline, or don't want to be disturbed for a
while, put the red flag up on your desk for all your colleagues to see.
When you've finished, take it down as a signal that you are happy to be
disturbed. This is particularly useful in an open plan environment.
Print them off for everyone and watch how it reduces interruptions!

We all have to work long hours sometimes, but this lovely story gives

 |
Working from home has proven to be beneficial as interruptions are
less and employees are more productive! This is just one of a series of
SkillSheets that we have produced on all the flexible working options.
This one is FREE to download. If you would like to purchase any others
in the series, then please contact us for details. |
