Bump to Babe to Business®Bump to Babe to Business® is a coaching, networking and information service aimed at working parents, with special emphasis on women during pregnancy, childcare choices and returning to work after a childcare break. Of the population of married couples, in 78% both work outside the home and 1 in 6 of women look after children under the age of 16. This means that employers have to be serious about providing flexibility if they wish to retain their women. One of those ways is supporting women to come back to work after the birth of their children by developing support systems and effective childcare provision. In all three of the election campaign manifestos are commitments to parents to increase the quality, number and accessibility of childcare in the UK. This is no longer a nice to have, it’s an economic decision. 68% of female new business owners said they left their previous employers due to lack of flexibility. 49% of professional women do not return to work after giving birth for the same reason. Over 54% of first time births are to women over the age of 30; these women have already established their career and retain a lot of experience and company knowledge. You can't afford not to do it! Bump to Babe to Business® is completely flexible and options are not all mandatory. This is particularly beneficial to the small business, or where budgets in larger companies are limited. For the employee, Bump to Babe to Business® is split into three phases: · Bump For would be parents, expectant parents and those adoptive parents going through the process of expecting their first child. · Babe For new parents, natural, adoptive and foster parents · Business For parents in the workplace including new maternity and paternity returners and existing parents of children up to 18 years. During each phase the parent has access to different levels of support and information. All are linked together by the supportive environment and experience of The Worklife Company. We believe that in order to help our organisations and parents to be effective, we must establish support mechanisms early in the process. This support includes: · 1 to 1 coaching and/or counselling · In-house or open workshops · Access to information · Advice on differences in childcare providers, e.g. nannies, childminders, etc. · Advice on worklife balance · Managing time, stress, emotion and tasks · Tailored support for specific needs Click below to download an information pack |
